The instant #1 New York Times and USA Today best seller by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, the voices behind the hit podcast My Favorite Murder!

Sharing never-before-heard stories ranging from their struggles with depression, eating disorders, and addiction, Karen and Georgia irreverently recount their biggest mistakes and deepest fears, reflecting on the formative life events that shaped them into two of the most followed voices in the nation.

In Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered, Karen and Georgia focus on the importance of self-advocating and valuing personal safety over being ‘nice’ or ‘helpful.’ They delve into their own pasts, true crime stories, and beyond to discuss meaningful cultural and societal issues with fierce empathy and unapologetic frankness.

“In many respects, Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered distills the My Favorite Murder podcast into its most essential elements: Georgia and Karen. They lay themselves bare on the page, in all of their neuroses, triumphs, failures, and struggles. From eating disorders to substance abuse and kleptomania to the wonders of therapy, Kilgariff and Hardstark recount their lives with honesty, humor, and compassion, offering their best unqualified life-advice along the way.” —Entertainment Weekly

“Like the podcast, the book offers funny, feminist advice for survival—both in the sense of not getting killed and just, like, getting a job and working through your personal shit so you can pay your bills and have friends.” —Rolling Stone

I got so introspective of my young self and how hard I was on myself and to this day. You two are good therapy for me. Love the way you relate to life.

These women tell their stories in a way that is so honest and captivating. As a fan of the podcast it was the easiest and most exciting read I’ve had for a while. My mother is not a Murderino, and even she read and loved this book in just 2 days. She is now recommending it to all of her friends. Read to learn something, or read to feel understood. Truly excellent work.

From the moment I read the first page, I was hooked. Best book I’ve read in a very long time!
  • Thank you

Just as you mention all of your “ah hah!” therapy moments, I found moments like that, myself, in this book. This shed so much light on why I am the way I am. I love that I can relate to this book so much, as I’ve faced many similar struggles to yours. I will never forget the bit about 13 year olds, and how so much of our brain can be completely ruined at that age. It truly started for me at 13 too. Thank you for your late nights, your anxiety, and your perseverance in writing this book. SSDGM

If you’re a murderino I don’t have to tell you this book is a must. If you’re not a murderino read this and you will be.

These ladies have a true talent when it comes to storytelling. My fiancé and I are huge fans of the podcast. It is all we listen to in the car together. I read this book in 24 hours. I could not put it down!! Hoping a second one is in their future.

This book has helped me more than I imagined. I have been a long time listener of the podcast and have never felt that I related to these two but I gave it a whirl. I laughed, I cried, and I listened to them talk about internal issues that only I thought I experienced. I feel extremely empowered after listening and I can not recommend this book enough.
